Monster In My Bones 2:010:00/2:01
I'm a multidisciplinary artist based in Portland, OR. I write songs and make music videos. I discovered audio + video editing software during the pandemic, and now I can’t stop making things.
Voice is my primary medium. I also enjoy making junk noise from household appliances and turning it into music. My biggest musical influences are Tom Waits, Fiona Apple, Jacques Brel, Gazelle Twin, & Meredith Monk.
I'm a documentary theater enthusiast. My last performance piece, created in partnership with Street Roots, was based on interviews I conducted with individuals struggling with homelessness. My newest project explores America’s relationship to guns (performance TBD).
I received my BFA from NYU and MSW from Hunter College, NY. In 2012 I relocated to Oregon with my husband after living in NYC for 15 years. When I'm not creating things I work as a therapist. For more information about my therapy practice, click the button below.
